Uttar Pradesh: A 28-year-old woman constable, Pooja Saxena, stationed at the Malihabad police station in Lucknow, has died due to the dengue virus. She was admitted to a private hospital in Bareilly. Upon receiving the news of her sudden demise, fellow police officers and Inspector Suresh Singh observed two minutes of silence in her honor. Pooja Saxena had taken maternity leave on September 18 to return to her hometown, Bareilly. On the night of October 10-11, she was admitted to the hospital in critical condition due to dengue. Originally from Bareilly, Pooja was part of the 2019 batch of constables, with her first posting at the Nigohna police station in Lucknow. About two years ago, she was transferred to the Malihabad police station.
