UP: Health of 250 People Deteriorates in Bijnor After Consuming Kuttu Flour, Inquiry Ordered
On the first day of Navratri, more than 250 people in Bijnor suffered from food poisoning after consuming dishes made from kuttu flour. They are experiencing issues such as stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and shivering. All have been admitted to the hospital.
Uttar Pradesh | In the Chandpur area of Bijnor district, more than 250 people have suffered from food poisoning after consuming kuttu flour on the first day of Navratri. The affected individuals are experiencing issues such as stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, and shivering. They have been admitted to both government and private hospitals. This incident has caused a stir in the district administration, prompting the DM, SP, and CMO to visit the hospital and direct better treatment for the patients. In Syau, Chandpur, people from about 300 households consumed kuttu flour-based pakoras and puris, leading to illness among many, including children, the elderly, youths, and women.
Bijnor: 20 Patients Referred to District Hospital
Following the consumption of kuttu flour dishes, the affected individuals were immediately admitted to government and private hospitals. Among them, twenty serious patients have been referred to Bijnor District Hospital. All the sick individuals are residents of Syau, Chandpur. It is suspected that they all purchased the flour from the same shop, resulting in collective illness.
DM Orders Investigation of Kuttu Flour
In light of the rising number of sick individuals, the district administration has summoned doctors from nearby government hospitals to the Chandpur hospital. Bijnor DM Ankit Kumar Agarwal has instructed the SDM of Chandpur and the Food Safety Department to seize kuttu flour from all grocery stores in Syau and take samples for testing. Additionally, the DM has assured the families of the sick individuals that thorough investigations will be conducted and strict action will be taken.
