TooFan News is a digital news brand of A19 Infoways Pvt Ltd, Raipur (Chhattisgarh). This policy explains how we select, verify, write and correct news.
1. Our purpose
To bring readers accurate, fair and timely news, especially from the villages, blocks, towns and districts of Chhattisgarh that national media often miss.
2. How a story is made
- Sources: our reporters, Champion Authors (local correspondents), government documents, official statements and reliable agencies. Sources are named wherever possible.
- Two-level review: every story by a Champion Author is checked and approved by an area coordinator (CAO) or an editor before it is published.
- Fact-checking: names, numbers, dates and allegations are confirmed with at least one independent source; we seek a response from the people or organisations accused.
- Photos and videos: only our own, permitted or licensed material; representative images are labelled as such.
3. Fairness and conflicts of interest
Our writers do not accept benefits from any person, party or organisation for coverage, and do not cover stories in which they have a personal interest. Political stories give space to all sides.
4. Advertising and sponsored content
Advertising is separate from the newsroom; advertisers do not decide editorial content. Every sponsored story and local ad is clearly marked "Sponsored" or "Ad".
5. Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to assist with writing, but every story is read, checked and approved by a person before it is published. Facts are always the responsibility of a human editor.
6. Sensitive subjects
We do not reveal the identity of victims of sexual offences or of minors. Stories on suicide, violence and communal issues follow the Press Council of India norms of journalistic conduct.
7. Corrections
When we make a mistake we correct it promptly and note significant corrections at the end of the story. Report an error with the story link to contact@toofan.news.
