Hypersonic Missile in India: DRDO is planning to develop hypersonic missiles for the Indian armed forces in the coming days. The Director General of the Indian Army's Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant General A. Kumar, stated that there is also a focus on long-range rockets. Under this, the goal is to increase the range of indigenous Pinaka rockets to 300 kilometers.

Additionally, the Indian Army has received approval from the defense acquisition process to acquire the Pralay ballistic missile and the Nirbhay missile. Long-range missiles like Nirbhay, with a range of 2,000 kilometers, and Pralay, with a range of 400 kilometers, will soon be included in the army's arsenal, significantly enhancing the country’s defense capabilities.

Work on Hypersonic Missiles Continues; Advanced Missiles like Pralay and Nirbhay Will Soon Be Included in the Army:

The Lieutenant General stated that the DRDO's hypersonic missile program is progressing rapidly, aimed at enhancing the range, accuracy, and lethality of ballistic and cruise missiles. He praised the Pinaka rocket system, calling it a success story of the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, and confirmed its widespread use. DRDO is conducting research and development on these missile programs, which will further strengthen the army's capabilities in the future.

Loitering Munitions and Swarm Drones: New Capabilities for Gathering Intelligence and Precise Target Attacks:

General A. Kumar shared updates on ammunition improvements, stating that several measures have been taken to enhance accuracy and strike capability. He emphasized the development of sensor-fused munitions and course-correctable fuses in collaboration with industries and academic institutions. Additionally, technologies such as loitering munitions, swarm drones, and runway-independent RPAS are being procured to strengthen intelligence gathering and surveillance on the battlefield. Attention is also being paid to modernizing the training and administrative infrastructure for Agniveers.
