The government has taken a significant step for Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea, and BSNL SIM card users by blocking approximately 17 million SIM cards. Additionally, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and four major telecom service providers have successfully prevented 4.5 million fraudulent international calls from entering the Indian network. This action is being taken to eliminate the issue of fake SIM cards and ensure network security.
