Police-Naxalite Encounter: Security Forces Eliminate One Naxalite, Seize Cache of Weapons

Chhattisgarh:  An encounter took place between police and Naxalites in the Naxal-affected area of Sukma district, during which security forces eliminated one Naxalite. This encounter occurred in the forests and hills of village Pamalur in the Bhejji police station area. The body of the slain Naxalite has been recovered, and the identification process is ongoing. This action aims to curb Naxal activities in the area to improve the safety of the local population.

Following information about the presence of Naxalites in the Bhejji police station area, a joint team of police forces, including DRG, Bastar Fighters, 206 Cobra, 208 Cobra, 131 CRPF, and 212 CRPF, was dispatched for operations in villages Dabbakonta, Entapad Burklnka, Pamalur, Singhanmadgu, and surrounding areas. During the operation yesterday evening in the forests of Pamalur, an encounter occurred between the police and Naxalites, resulting in the elimination of one male Naxalite. A weapon and the body of the Naxalite were recovered from the site, while the identification process for the deceased Naxalite is still underway.

This encounter comes at a time when security forces have recently eliminated 31 Maoists in a significant operation in the Dantewada-Narayanpur border area, considered the largest anti-Naxal operation in the country. Such actions help control Naxal activities and ensure the safety of the local community.
