The attacker struck Kanwar's neck and other parts of his body repeatedly with a sickle, resulting in his immediate death. This horrifying incident has spread panic in the area. Upon receiving information about the event, the police arrived at the scene and registered a case of unnatural death, initiating an investigation. This incident took place in the Civil Line police station area, raising questions about safety.
According to reports, the body of the deceased, Shiv Prasad Kanwar (46 years), was found inside their home covered in blood. At the time of the incident, his wife, Sukrita Singh Kanwar, who is stationed in the municipal army, was on duty, leaving Shiv Prasad alone at home. This brutal murder has created a stir throughout the area. Upon receiving the information, the police acted swiftly and registered a case of unnatural death to commence their investigation.
