Drug Network: Delhi Police Seize Cocaine Worth ₹2,000 Crores

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have uncovered a major international drug syndicate, seizing over 500 kilograms of cocaine valued at more than ₹2,000 crores. This is considered the largest drug seizure in the national capital to date. Four suspects have been arrested, and their identities have not yet been made public. Police reported that the operation took place in a southern Delhi area, where members of an organized gang were apprehended.

The Delhi Police's Special Task Force has taken this drug case seriously, stating that the cocaine may be linked to narco-terrorism. The suspects are believed to have connections to an international drug trafficking gang. Police believe this gang's network is quite extensive and has roots in several countries. Although there have been several significant drug cases uncovered in Delhi before, this seizure has surprised everyone.

The recent developments in this context began with the arrest of two Afghan nationals in the Tilak Nagar area on Sunday, who were found in possession of 400 grams of heroin and 160 grams of cocaine. During the same time, the Delhi Customs also seized over ₹24 crores worth of 1,660 grams of cocaine from a passenger at Indira Gandhi International Airport. This passenger is a citizen of the Republic of Liberia, who arrived in Delhi from Dubai, and he was arrested under the NDPS Act.

The Delhi Police have initiated a thorough investigation into this case, aiming to identify the major names and networks behind this international drug trafficking operation. Police state that such cases are not limited to drugs but could also be linked to several serious crimes. Further actions may lead to additional arrests, helping to dismantle this gang's extensive network.
