Due to the active efforts of security forces, Naxalites surrender, marking the end of the Jhiram Valley attack.

Jagdalpur: Following a recent encounter on the Narayanpur-Dantewada border, there has been a flurry among Naxalites. As a result of this pressure, four Naxalites from the Darbha Division involved in the 2013 Jhiram Valley attack have surrendered. One of them is a prominent Naxalite named Pandu, who had a reward of one lakh rupees on his head. This event demonstrates the effectiveness of security forces and the success of ongoing operations against Naxalite activities.

All the surrendered Maoists are members of the Darbha Division's Kanger National Park Area Committee, including one female Maoist. Bastar Superintendent of Police Salabh Sinha has accepted their surrender and announced benefits and incentive amounts under the surrender policy. This step marks a significant success in the ongoing campaign against Naxalism and is expected to encourage other Naxalites to return to the mainstream.

The Darbha Division, which was a major center of Naxalite activities from 2005 to 2015, has seen a decline in activities since 2016. Due to the killing and surrender of senior Naxalite leaders, most Naxalites in the area have decided to return to the mainstream. This change has led to a notable reduction in Naxalite activities, proving the success of security forces' efforts. This situation is a positive sign for peace and security in the region.
