Bikaner: Shocking Revelations in Drone Smuggling Case of Heroin Worth 11 Crores
In the case of 11 crores worth of heroin dropped by a drone near the Neelkanth post on the Pakistan border, shocking revelations have emerged from the interrogation of the smugglers. According to investigation agencies, the smugglers based in Pakistan had determined the location for dropping the heroin, while the financial transactions were made through hawala from Dubai. This disclosure uncovers an international trafficking network.
On October 2, the BSF recovered a drone and 2 kilograms of heroin worth 11 crores in the Khajuwala border area near the Neelkanth post. In this case, the police and BSF arrested six smugglers. After two days of interrogation, it was revealed that the main trafficker based in Punjab had made the deal with a Pakistani smuggler. For this task, Baldev Singh, who had recently been released from Rohtak jail, was used as a courier. The deal was finalized at one and a half lakh rupees, with one lakh rupees transferred via hawala to the bank account provided by Baldev in Dubai. The vigilance of the BSF and police thwarted the smugglers' plans.
Baldev Linked to Pakistani Smuggler:
Baldev Singh had been in contact with Pakistani smuggler Ahmed for the past year. The police have arrested Baljeet Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Amrik Singh, Mastan Singh, and Mahendra Singh from Hanumangarh, as well as Paragat Singh from Ferozepur in Punjab in this case. Another accused, Tara Singh, is currently absconding. The investigation is being conducted by Sandeep Kumar, the in-charge of the Chhatargarh police station.
Increased Vigilance at the Border:
According to BSF officials, the use of drones by smugglers is rapidly increasing, allowing them to evade stringent security measures at the border. In recent months, security agencies have intercepted several drones that were transporting narcotics and weapons into Indian territory. Following this incident, security forces have tightened surveillance along the border. Advanced technologies are being employed to enhance the fight against drones. Officials stated that security forces are fully alert to thwart these efforts by smugglers and are closely monitoring such incidents.
