Amit Chaturvedi's warehouse was seized in Bhopal, from where 3,000 liters of chemicals were recovered. Connections to a drug racket linked to Rajasthan have emerged, involving Shoaib Lala and Premsukh Patidar, while the investigation into the hawala network is ongoing.
Madhya Pradesh: The police in Bhopal's Katara region conducted a significant raid in Rapiya village, where they seized the warehouse of drug manufacturer Amit Chaturvedi. Approximately 3,000 liters of chemicals were confiscated from this warehouse, including 15 drums of 200 kilograms each. This action not only exposed a local drug racket but also led to the arrest of the accused, Amit Chaturvedi and Sanyal Bane, as the NCB reached their factory located in the Bagroda area. This raid is an important step in addressing the growing drug issue in Madhya Pradesh.
Near Bhopal, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in collaboration with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat, recovered drugs worth approximately ₹1,800 crores from a factory. These drugs were being manufactured in the industrial area of Bangrasia. This action in Bhopal was based on links obtained from suspects arrested in Surat, Gujarat. So far, the police have arrested five suspects in this case, marking a significant blow to the local drug racket.
Bhopal: Drugs Worth ₹4,000 Crores Seized
Continuous new revelations in this case suggest that the total value of the drugs is not ₹1,800 crores, but nearly ₹4,000 crores. Investigations revealed that drugs worth ₹2,200 crores were in the final stages of production, while the rest was being prepared in machines. The three arrested suspects had divided responsibilities: Harish Anjana handled drug supply, Sanyal Bane was involved in producing drugs from raw materials, and Amit Chaturvedi was responsible for sourcing the raw materials. The suspects supplied drugs to foreign markets for higher profits.
Connections to the Rajasthan Drug Racket
The drug case is linked to Rajasthan, where the gang leader is reported to be Shoaib Lala. Investigations are also seeking a person named Premsukh Patidar, who is believed to be in contact with Harish Anjana and involved in drug supply. Additionally, there are suspicions of a hawala network, and agencies are currently working to uncover this network. This revelation adds to the seriousness of the case.
