Sarguja's daughter has brought pride to the state in mini golf at the Asian Championship.

Ambikapur | Ambikapur's mini golf player Shivani Soni has been selected for the Asian Championship to be held in Thailand from October 8 to 15. Shivani is the only female participant from Chhattisgarh in this competition, which has created a joyful atmosphere among her family, friends, and fellow players. This achievement is a matter of pride not only for Shivani but also for all sports enthusiasts in the city. Her effort proves that with hard work and dedication, any athlete can realize their dreams. Shivani Soni practices at the basketball court in Gandhi Stadium and has achieved many milestones in mini golf through her hard work and struggle. However, the lack of space poses a challenge to her practice, but Shivani has shown her spirit of self-reliance by creating her own practice ground and consistently working hard. As a result, she has successfully won the Best Player award at the All India level.

Shivani has previously participated in several international competitions. In the Mini Golf World Championship held in China, her women’s team secured the 9th position, while she achieved 7th rank in the championship held in Sweden. Additionally, she showcased her talent by winning a gold medal in the single-stroke event at the All Over Inter University Championship in Rajasthan. She has also received the All India Best Player award and the Eklavya Best International Player award.
